Lam Nguyen is a Vietnamese American artist currently pursuing a BFA in Fine Arts at the University of West Florida. Born in Vietnam, she moved to the United States at the age of fourteen. Working primarily in oil painting, Nguyen draws from traditions of Romanticism to explore the grandeur of the natural world and the vulnerability of the human figure within it. Her developing practice incorporates influences from Brutalist architecture and sculptural elements, creating a dialogue between natural and human-made forms of monumentality.
Nguyen’s work has been exhibited in the 2023 AHSAE Satellite Show in Atlanta, GA and in Projections 2026 at The Art Gallery at the University of West Florida. In 2026, she was selected to participate in UWF’s BFA Summer Studio Residency, where she developed work later exhibited in Altered States at 52 World in Pensacola, FL.
